Surgical Unit / Medical Rehabilitation Unit

Surgical Unit

The Surgical unit comprises 26 beds, arranged as six single rooms and five four bed wards. On Monday and Tuesday of each week the Paediatric unit utilizes 10 surgical beds.

The majority of patients are either elective admissions or admitted through the Emergency department requiring additional Care.

Medical Rehabilitation Unit

The medical Rehabilitation Unit comprises 28 beds with an additional 5 HDU beds.

The Unit has 10 Rehabilitation beds, arranged in 2 four bed rooms and 2 single rooms, along with a gym room.

There are 18 medical beds for medical patients, arranged as 4 four bed rooms and 2 single rooms.

Across the corridor is a 5 bed HDU for coronary patients and others that require specialist nursing care.
