What do I need to bring with me to Hospital?
It is our desire to make your stay as comfortable and as pleasant as possible. You can help us by making sure that you obtain the items listed below and have them ready to bring with you when you come to Hospital.
We do ask that you leave jewellery, credit cards and other valuables at home as the Hospital cannot be responsible for anything that is lost or stolen. Just bring sufficient money for phone calls, newspapers or magazines and personal items from the Hospital kiosk.
Hospital requirements:
- Lightweight nightgowns or pyjamas etc. (front opening if breastfeeding)
- Dressing gown, slippers
- Light comfortable day clothes
- Disposable underwear or old underwear
- Nursing bras, nursing pads
- Maternity sanitary pads
- Baby soap and container or baby bath solution
- Coins for phone, biro, tissues, watch or clock
- Baby wipes, safety pins
- Dummy (if necessary) plus small plastic container with lid
- Teats and screw tops if bottle feeding
- Camera.
PLEASE MARK ALL ITEMS WITH YOUR NAME
To take baby home in:
- 1 blanket, 1 bunny rug
- 1 singlet, 1 nightgown, 2 napkins
- Capsule or recognised baby restraint.
